Make a donation: Large or small, monthly or one-time, your contribution makes a difference! Tuition payments and ticket sales cover only about 40% of the true cost of operating our program. The truth is that the rest has historically been contributed by our founder/director in the form of unpaid labor, at great personal cost. We know that the arts, education, and the work of women are all egregiously under-valued in our society, and one of our goals in transitioning to a non-profit organization is to ensure that our director is paid appropriately and consistently. At the same time, we want to keep our programs accessible through low tuition rates and scholarship programs. The success of this new model will depend in large part upon people like you caring enough to give your support. So please take a moment to consider what Shine means to you, and give what you can. To donate through PayPal, send any amount to the account of shinechorus@gmail.com. Since Shine is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, all donations are tax deductible. We will automatically send you a receipt for any donation over $250; we are happy to send receipts for smaller donations as well-- just add a note that you would like one and provide your address.
